CONGRATULATIONS Hall of Famer!!

Congratulations to our own Jack Sacchette on being inducted into the PRA "Hall of Fame" the following is the PRA'S announcement:

Jack Sacchette joined the Pro Racing Association in 1989, racing in the Pro Bug/Pro Stock (1989-91, 1994-98) and Super Street (1992-93, 2002-04) classes during his 13 year career. His first ever PRA event was at the Phoenix Bug-O-Rama #7 at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona on April 2, 1989. Jack’s first event win would come in that first season at the Sacramento Bug-O-Rama #23 at Sacramento Raceway. He qualified #3 and beat Steve Brower and Sam Shackelford to advance to the finals where he would face Steve Tims. Jack ran a 10.432 ET @ 124.66 MPH to Steve’s 10.61 ET @ 123.97 MPH to get his first PRA event win. In his rookie season he would go on to win 7 events in 8 final round appearances. There was no championship crowned that season but had there been Jack would have no doubt won it; he finished with the 7 wins mentioned prior and an elimination won-loss record of 23-4. Jack won a total of 4 championships (Pro Stock – 1990, 1991, 1997, 1998), ranking him tied for 5th all-time and finished his PRA career with a total of 28 event wins, currently the most ever by a racer. One of his best seasons came in 1991 where he finished with a 17-0 elimination round record, won all 6 events he attended and won his second consecutive Pro Stock championship. Jack was more than a racer though; he served numerous years on the PRA staff in various positions. He currently is involved in the sport through his high performance shop, JayCee Enterprises (www.jayceevw.com) in Santa Ana, California. He has supported and sponsored many of the cars we have seen run down the track in the past and many that still do to this day.
